Discover the unparalleled precision and craftsmanship of Okatsune Japan with these premium secateurs. Forged from the finest Japanese steel, renowned for its use in the legendary Katana swords, these secateurs boast razor-sharp blades that effortlessly slice through branches up to 20mm in diameter. Ideal for pruning shrubs, roses, fruit trees, and creepers, these secateurs are an essential tool for any dedicated gardener.

Key Features:

  • Weight: 0.202 kg
  • Length: 200mm

The distinctive red and white handles are not only symbols of good fortune but also highly visible, ensuring you can easily spot them even if they are left on the ground or buried under leaves. The red stands out during daylight, while the white ensures visibility for those who garden at night.

Engineered with precision, the blades are angled to the right to facilitate smooth downward cuts. The ergonomically designed handles provide a flexible and comfortable grip, while the HRC 60.0-61.0 hardened steel blades ensure long-lasting sharpness and durability.

From the moment you hold these secateurs, you'll appreciate their superior quality and effortless cutting performance. Built to last, they make pruning a joy and will keep your plants healthy and well-maintained.

The Okatsune Pruning Shear blades are ground at two angles, allowing for clean cuts that minimize plant damage. The unique hollow ground blade design ensures sap flows away from the blade, preventing sticking. The V-shaped spring evenly distributes the cutting load, ensuring a smooth closing action.

One standout feature is the large latch at the bottom of the handles. This innovative design allows you to open and close the secateurs with a simple brush against your thigh, freeing up your other hand. When not in use, the latch can be pressed into the handles to stay out of the way.

Constructed with minimal components, these secateurs require little maintenance. Simply clean the blades after use, oil them, and store them in a dry place with the blades closed. If the blades lose their sharpness, they can be easily resharpened using the Okatsune whetstone (Okatsune 412).

Care Instructions:

  • Avoid cutting wire, metal, stone, plastic, or other hard materials to prevent chipping.
  • Do not twist or apply uneven pressure.
  • Cut diagonally across branches for optimal performance.
